NHS Graduation!

Nicole was in the NHS program at her school. Not everyone can be in NHS, so Nicole showed that she was right for the group. I was so proud of her. She presented one rose to Jason and I; we were honored. Her other rose she gave to her coach; who truly amazing and showed her a ton through her high school years. Nicole we are extremely proud of you.

The Little Man's Birthday! (I guess he's not so little anymore!)

Ryan turned 10 the day after Tia turned 15. We celebrated Ryan's birthday on Wednesday and then we went to Amazing Jake's the weekend after. He invited his best friend. We Played games, went on rides and played Laser Tag. It was a fun day for all of us. Once again, it is crazy that he is 10 already!! We have been through so much in the last 10 years. They have been a great 10 years and I couldn't ask for anything better from you ryan. I love you and can't believe you are growing up so fast!

Tia's 15th birthday!

Tia turned 15 on February 23rd. She did not want anything for her birthday. She chose to go to the Cheesecake factory. We had a great time together and she loved it. Tia got some gifts through out the week. She got makeup, stuff for her hair, a book she wanted, and some other little stuff. Her big gift was money. She is a hard one to shop for so money was the best for her. Coley made her a cake that she wanted. Her friends also bought her balloons and flowers. Over all she said that she had a great birthday. I can't believe that she is already 15! Where has the time gone?

Wanna See Know what Champions Look Like?? Look At Them FLORENCE GOPHERS!

Coley is a cheerleader for the Florence Gophers for the last three years. This year the took first in Show Cheer! They are the STATE CHAMPIONS! We are all so proud of her. Coley is a senior so this was her last year and she sure did make this her best. After they took this state champion, they then went to Las Vegas to compete. When they were there, they got first place also and they also got the highest score out of the other teams! They are LEGIT! These girls have worked so hard and they deserve what they won. I am so proud of you Coley!

Where is the Good in Goodbye?

The beginning of January, the girls moved back in with their dad. They have lived here for over a year and they were apart of the family. It was the saddest thing to see them good, but it was good for them. The night before they left, we had a family dinner with their dad and his family. The night came to an end very quick. Karena was sad to leave and started to cry. She then got the whole house to cry. We were all heartbroken. This could have been one of the hardest things to do. All the other girls did not take this so well. Savannah was upset for the whole night. We could not get her to stop crying, Karena, Krystina, and savannah were the best of friends. Nicole and Tia had a bond with those girls and treated them as if they were their own sisters, Haley too. I was not much help because I was also crying. I know that this is what the girls needed. Living with their dad is what is best for the two little girls. I get to see the girls whenever I want. I usually take them for a weekend. Those girls always know how to put a smile on our faces. It was an amazing year when they were here for that year. We now get to continue our road with foster care.

Christmas 2009

This year for Christmas it was just us as a family again. The little girls got to share their christmas with their dad and they had a great time. All the kids got what they wanted. Savannah loved her new DSi and all her new dolls. Ryan got his trick bike that he has been wanting for awhile now. Haley got her shoes and clothes. Coley and Tia got tons of clothes and jewelry. The kids also got Rockband (which is now their new favorite game!!) The night before, we opened the kids pajamas. This year we also decided to do something different. Every night we would do something as a family such as, have hot cocoa and read stories or go christmas caroling. It was something new and we all seemed to enjoy it. Tia wanted a new tradition! That night, we had a delicious meal as always on the holidays. Christmas was a great turnout this year.

Thanksgiving 2009

This year for Thanksgiving we stayed home and had a beautiful dinner. Uncle Mike came over to share the holiday with us. I also took the kids to Anthem to take family pictures. They actually turned out really cute and we had fun while doing it. Savannah was pretty scared about the water that was only a foot deep! While we were eating we all went around the table and shared what was thankful to each of us. It touched my heart to hear what they were thankful for. We had a great holiday and I am surely thankful for such a great family.
